During lockdown we’ve really missed having days out to the capital’s wonderful selection of museums, galleries and other attractions, and as shops start to reopen we’re wondering if these will soon follow. Many cultural places have been great at giving us a digital dose during this difficult time, from wandering around art galleries from the comfort of your sofa to being able to watch online lessons about the artefacts you can’t necessarily see in museums. The answer is, it varies hugely between places.

As has been clear with all the easing of restrictions, places based mostly outdoors are going to open much sooner than those completely indoors.

The Museum of London documents the history of the UK’s capital city from prehistoric to modern times and is located in the City of London on the London Wall , close to the Barbican Centre and is part of the Barbican complex of buildings created in the s and s to redevelop a bomb-damaged area of the City.
